Good news for Key West fans of Patrick and the Swayzees! The boys are back in Key West, having just finished their summer tour of mainland Florida. And If you haven’t seen this band, you need to check them out. Somewhere between get down island garb and smart dressed rock n’ roll, Patrick & The Swayzees have a style all their own.
The band has four members: Jerrod Isaman (the dynamic founding member of the Love Lane Gang) on Guitar and vocals, Les Greene as Lead Singer, Tyler “T-Bone” McHone on Drums, and the talented Patrick Stetcher on Bass. There was a fifth member in the band, a lead guitarist, who unfortunately found himself in locked up jail just as the band was headed out on their recent tour. Patrick and the Swayzees were forced to press on without their lead guitarist…a true story rock n’ roll band false start that happily ended with a successful tour.
Patrick and the Swayzees are a relatively new band, but have quickly become Key West’s favorite new band. More than just music, their shows also add equal parts dancing and dress-up — making the entire scene a real happening. From surf rock to doo wop, rockabilly to beach music, Patrick & The Swayzees have created a current, yet still wholly nostalgic blend of early rock ‘n’ roll sounds that bring crowds to their feet from opening to encore. Their sets include original songs and instrumentals as well as a mix of well-known, crowd favorite cover tunes, so there’s something for everyone. This is a band that likes to have fun along with their audience, so get your retro garb on and come join the fun.
Patrick and the Swayzees have an active schedule in Key West, so there is no excuse for missing their show. Their live performance schedule includes Wednesday’s at the Sunset Pier 7:00 – 9:00 PM and Saturday’s at The Porch 8:00 – 11:00 PM. September 10th & 17th they are at the Green Parrot for Soundcheck at 6:00 PM as well as for the 9:00 PM show. They are also scheduled to perform a special street concert outside the Rum Barrel on October 30 for Fantasy Fest.
