For years people have ventured to this island on a quest for sunshine, palm trees, and tropical concoctions.
However, with more than 50 venues that offer outstanding entertainment, the music scene in Key West is quickly becoming “the place to go” for live music.

As Ralph W. De Palma mentioned in his 2013 publication, ‘The Soul of Key West’, “If Nashville is the ‘Music City’, then Key West is most
certainly the ‘Music Island’”. After a quick glance at the local musical agenda, it seems Ralph has a point.
Every year, the Key West Songwriter’s Festival showcases many world famous songwriters such as Sara Evans, Anders Osborne, Kacey Musgraves, and Robert Earl Keen. This event is attended by thousands from all over the globe!
The annual Key West Musician’s Festival brings together local musicians and songwriters for a good cause. Much of the profits are donated to local charities.
In addition to The Keystock Music Festival, and numerous other events, there is an overwhelming amount of live music happening ’round-the-clock. Fury Water Adventures offers a cruise package featuring live music every night of the week! What could be better than champagne, h’ordeuvres, and live music on a sunset cruise?

These are a few of the many great musical things Key West has to offer and the list continues to grow. Lookout Nashville!

Being a musician myself, I had no idea what to expect when I first arrived on the island.
I came here seeking refuge from the brutal winter and found more than palm trees and sunshine.
The locals welcomed me into the vibrant music scene and instantly made me feel at home.
From day one I realized, this isn’t just paradise! Key West truly is
“The Island of Music”.
